A wet winter in California means the wildflowers are in full swing. A couple weeks ago I headed inland about an hour from North County San Diego and found myself in a sea of California Poppies. These are all from an early Sunday morning at Diamond Valley Lake – a beautiful reservoir with green hills surrounding it on all sides. This year is a rare sight, dubbed as the “super bloom” since it has been such an unseasonably wet winter and spring.
